Description
Our sock blockers are made in a woodcraft workshop of Sujur in Southern Estonia. The shape of the blockers is drawn by master knitter and researcher Anu Pink, who has taken into account the average size of feet and the elasticity of woolen knit. Sock blockers are made out of 6 mm thick birch plywood and finished with a coat of carnauba oil-wax.
These sock blockers come in handy when knitting, stretching or refreshing old socks. You should make socks a bit smaller than the blockers as the knit tends to stretch when wet. When finished knitting, rinse the socks in warm water and then press the water softly out. Spinning them with low settings in the washing machine will also give a great effect. Use the sock blockers with damp dry socks and hang somewhere to dry.
These sock blockers will make sure you have two beautiful, same size and fitting socks!
