Description
This fine, carded yarn produced in Denmark is suitable for knitting traditional Estonian ethnographic gloves and mittens.
Based on experience, the white yarn is particularly well-suited for travelling-stitch patterns (such as Kihnu, Ruhnu, Mustjala, and other travelling-stitch gloves) because it is not overly furry or fluffy. The yarn is unwashed, which makes it feel slightly stiff at first, but it becomes softer and more elastic after washing.
Since the yarn is unwashed, it may contain oil and dye residues. During the first wash, some dye may bleed into the water. (Based on testing, we can confirm that it does not stain the knitwork itself, but you should still avoid leaving your washed item to soak for a long time).
The yarn can be held or knitted together with both HEA 10/2 and 12/2 yarns, even though its thickness falls right between the two.
Some shades are dyed on white yarn, while others are dyed on grey.
