Often, the attractiveness of an item is determined by how well you have chosen the right yarn. Sometimes, however, you cannot find the right yarn in the right shade in the store or you want to use the white yarn you already have in a color. In this case, it makes perfect sense to dye the yarn yourself. Moreover, in this case, you can dye only a very small amount of the right shade. It is also possible to dye over some yarn of an unsuitable color that has been left unused

We offer textile dyes from the Jacquard company. The screw-top jar contains 14.17 grams of dye, which, according to the manufacturer’s advice, is meant for dyeing 450 g of wool or silk. According to this, approximately 3 grams of dye would be needed to dye 100 g of yarn. However, our experience shows that for some colors, this can result in a darker shade than the color sample. Depending on how saturated or dark the desired shade is, we recommend using 1–3 grams of dye per 100 grams of yarn. Different shades can be achieved by mixing 2–3 colors. For some nice colors like Muhu Pink or Muhu Orange, we have also included the exact recipe for dyeing to ensure the most authentic shade possible.

Different computer screens may display the colors slightly differently!
