In front of you is the updated and revised edition of this book. We’ve added an overview of some of the very old socks that were found during the salvage excavation of a late Medieval landfill in Tallinn after the first edition of this book was published. Also, some of the information about the place of origin and the names of knitters has been revised with the help of historical maps, church records, toponymical research, genealogical research and information from local people. Thus, the information in this book may slightly deviate from the information provided in museum collections.
