Description
This Norwegian woolen yarn is with a strong twist and seems a bit uneven, similarly to old yarns. Because of it’s strength it is suitable for knitting travelling stitch patterns and is better when knitting socks or hosiery, compared to yarns that are softer. When knitting socks and stockings we recommend using needles 1,75 mm (US 00) or 2 mm (US 0) and for traditional stranded knitting mittens we recommend using needles no 1,5 (US 000) or even no 1,25 (US 0000) for the extra fine gauge. The outcome will be authentic and similar to old Estonian knits.
Even though the number of the yarn is 6,5/2, it feels a bit thinner than Estonian 8/2 because of its strong twist.
